About Us

Sweet Home Inspections is a property inspection company founded in 2000, that believes in doing business with old-fashioned values of Honesty, Integrity, and Expertise, using the best of the latest technology and methodology to give you an outstanding inspection.

Our inspectors are members of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and are trained by the Inspection Training Associates (ITA) - the only ASHI endorsed home inspection school. Our inspectors are also certified by the National Board of Professional Home Inspectors (NBPHI). The NBPHI is the same examination board that is used in many of the 30 states that do administer certification/licensing exams to professional home inspectors.

James Allen, President, is a renowned lecturer in modern construction techniques and troubleshooting. He has worked in residential and commercial construction for over 30 years as a builder, inspector, educator and consultant. James has sat on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Great Plains chapter and was a past secretary for the board. He now represents the local chapter by being one of it's Core of Representatives (COR) with National ASHI as well as being on the national education committee. He is certified by the Kansas Department of Agriculture as a Commercial Pesticide Applicator, certified by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) as a Residential Measurement Provider for Radon, is a State of Kansas Registered Home Inspector and holds a Kansas Real Estate license.
